Staff Product Manager

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager based in United States.

This role sits at the center of a world-scale developer ecosystem, shaping how APIs evolve for an AI-first era of software development. You will define how millions of developers, enterprise customers, and autonomous agents interact with a critical platform that powers modern software delivery. The scope spans real-time event systems, API completeness, platform scalability, and usage-based economics. You’ll work across deeply technical and highly strategic areas, influencing architecture, product direction, and monetization models. This is a high-impact position where your decisions will directly affect developer experience, system reliability, and ecosystem sustainability. You’ll collaborate across engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and drive the evolution from request/response APIs to real-time, event-driven, subscription-based architectures with strong delivery guarantees and filtering capabilities.
  • Own scalability, reliability, and performance strategy for high-volume API usage, including AI agent workloads and enterprise integrations.
  • Identify and close critical API coverage gaps to ensure full programmatic access across the platform.
  • Design and evolve consumption-based pricing models, balancing cost recovery, margin optimization, and ecosystem health.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, finance, billing, sales, and customer success to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Engage directly with developers and enterprise customers to gather insights, validate needs, and translate them into roadmap priorities.
  • Drive adoption, experimentation, and communication of new platform capabilities through technical and executive channels.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in product management, software engineering, product design, or related technical fields (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong background in developer tools, APIs, or platform products, with ability to translate developer needs into scalable product solutions.
    • Experience building or shipping APIs, event-driven systems, or large-scale distributed platforms.
    • Proven track record of working with executive stakeholders and presenting roadmap direction clearly and effectively.
    • Experience with usage-based, metered, or consumption-driven pricing models is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with real-time systems such as pub/sub, webhooks, streaming, or similar architectures.
    • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with ability to drive alignment across technical and business teams.
    • Analytical mindset with ability to use data to guide prioritization and product decisions.
    • Benefits:

      • Remote-first flexibility with the ability to work from anywhere within the United States
      • Competitive compensation package aligned with senior-level product leadership roles
      • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
      • Opportunities for professional development, learning, and career growth
      • Exposure to large-scale, high-impact technical systems and AI-driven products
      • Inclusive and collaborative work environment with global teams
      • Generous paid time off and work-life balance support.
