This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining and scaling quality engineering across a complex, multi-platform software ecosystem used in mission-critical, high-stakes environments. You will own the end-to-end QA strategy, including automation frameworks, release governance, and testing infrastructure across web, mobile, desktop, cloud, and edge environments. The role blends hands-on technical execution with strategic leadership, requiring close collaboration with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle rather than treating it as a final gate. This position also involves evaluating and implementing AI-driven testing solutions to dramatically increase automation and efficiency. Accountabilities:
Lead the quality engineering strategy and execution across multiple product lines, ensuring scalable, automated, and reliable testing systems.
- Manage and scale a team of QA engineers across multiple product areas, including mentorship, coaching, and technical leadership
- Define and execute a modern QA strategy aligned with CI/CD and continuous deployment environments
- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright (TypeScript) and Unity3D (C#)
- Evaluate and implement AI-driven testing solutions, including LLM-assisted workflows, self-healing test systems, and automated API testing
- Design and execute end-to-end testing strategies across Windows, Linux, Android, XR, cloud, and geospatial platforms
- Partner with engineering teams to develop test plans for complex, multi-system features involving rich visual and spatial data
- Drive release governance processes to ensure quality, stability, and performance across frequent deployments
- Collaborate with QA leads to standardize processes, improve tooling, and scale best practices across teams
- Continuously improve QA systems, frameworks, and methodologies to increase automation coverage and efficiency
Requirements:
This role requires a seasoned QA engineering leader with deep automation expertise and proven experience building scalable quality functions in complex technical environments.
- 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development
- 3+ years of experience leading distributed QA teams across multiple products or technical domains
- Proven experience building or scaling a quality engineering function, including strategy, tooling, and process design
- Strong programming proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, with hands-on automation expertise
- Deep experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
- Demonstrated experience with AI-driven testing approaches, including generative AI or agentic automation tools
- Experience working in cross-platform environments including Windows, Linux, Android, and cloud systems
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and modern DevOps practices
- Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, remote, and highly technical environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with a track record of developing QA talent
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
