The Cybersecurity Group (CSG) is the cybersecurity arm of GovTech that is committed to creating a trusted digital Government for Singapore. You will be joining the Plans, Policy & Strategy (PPSD) team which oversees cybersecurity strategies, policy and resource-planning.

 

JOB SCOPE: -

Plans Development, Execution and Performance Monitoring

  • Identify gaps, formulate strategic insights, and provide timely recommendations to ensure continuous and relevant protection of Government ICT assets
  • Recommend creative and practical ways to address complex cybersecurity challenges from existing and emerging technologies, and digital environments, to proactively address cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities
  • Perform strategic resourcing functions to secure resources to grow the cybersecurity portfolio to support WoG needs
  • Develop, assess, and review existing and proposed cybersecurity plans and policies in close collaboration with stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements across Whole-of-Government.
  • Monitor and evaluate the continued effectiveness of cybersecurity plans and initiatives.
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and communicate results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Perform research in cyber and non-cyber domains in order to formulate cross-disciplinary frameworks, roadmaps and strategies.
  • Support all cybersecurity strategy and planning functions, including but not limited to preparing reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders, draft speeches or talking points for senior leadership’s engagements, preparing responses to Parliamentary Questions, or questions from senior leadership in and outside of GovTech, and supporting in the Division’s work in comms management, diplomacy efforts and partnership engagements.
  • Performs basic protocol duties for G2G and G2B events.

 

REQUIREMENTS: -

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or Information Technology preferred
  • CISSP and/or CISA certifications would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of and interest in emerging cybersecurity threats and trends about the latest cybersecurity technologies, tools, and solutions, and continually assessing their applicability to Government systems.
  • At least 5-6 years of prior experience in civil service-related work is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and econometrics would be an advantage.
  • Finance, accounting or legal qualifications or experience would be an advantage.
  • Clear and logical thinking, and analytical mindset; ability to grasp complex topics and distill into clear and easy-to-understand concepts; ability to develop creative solutions; ability to form logical, coherent reasoning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Able to work independently and persevering attitude.
  • Singapore Citizen only.
