Senior BI Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior BI Developer based in Brazil.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. You will build and maintain dashboards, reports, and semantic data models that support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position requires strong technical expertise in BI tools and data visualization, combined with a deep understanding of data architecture and reporting best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve reporting systems. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly enhances visibility, performance tracking, and strategic planning. It is ideal for a senior BI professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges and delivering intuitive analytics solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools to meet business requirements with a focus on usability and best practices.
• Support BI architecture design and contribute to implementation, optimization, and ongoing improvements of BI environments.
• Assist in system installations, upgrades, and maintenance of BI platforms and reporting infrastructure.
• Gather requirements, document changes, and participate in retrospective reviews for reporting and analytics enhancements.
• Build, test, and maintain BI reporting systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within BI applications and reporting solutions.
• Develop semantic data layers and reusable BI objects to support scalable analytics across platforms.
• Design and optimize complex queries and data models, ensuring accuracy and performance.
• Install, configure, and customize BI tools while ensuring system stability and alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate in an agile, iterative environment focused on continuous improvement and prototype-based development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence development and data reporting solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI or other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of DAX, data modeling, and analytical expressions in BI environments.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and database structures.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end BI solutions.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, user-facing environment.
• Preferred: experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or similar ecosystems.
