This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Financial Analyst - Supervisor based in the United States.
This is a high-impact leadership role within a program finance environment supporting large, complex government and contract-driven projects.
You will oversee cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking across multiple programs.
The role combines hands-on financial analysis with team supervision and cross-functional coordination.
You will partner closely with program managers, contracts, procurement, and accounting teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
A key focus of the role is driving actionable insights that improve cost efficiency, profitability, and program execution.
You will also play a leadership role in mentoring junior analysts and strengthening financial governance practices.
This position requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical capability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Accountabilities:
- Manage Estimates at Completion (EAC), variance analysis, and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate program insights.
- Supervise TDL project setup, cost allocation, and ongoing monitoring of labor, subcontractor, and funding status.
- Partner with program management, contracts, procurement, and finance teams to identify risks, optimize profitability, and improve financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, SOX, and internal financial policies across all program activities.
- Support billing, accounts receivable, accruals, and audit readiness through accurate financial data validation and reporting.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and executive-level reporting.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of contract types including Cost Plus (CP), Time & Materials (T&M), and Fixed Price (FFP).
- Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and large-scale financial reporting processes.
- Experience working with government or defense-related contracts and understanding compliance requirements (GAAP, FAR, SOX).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and data interpretation skills across multiple systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring junior analysts in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to senior leadership.
- Familiarity with tools such as Deltek Costpoint and exposure to GSA contracts is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship required with eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance.
