Injection Engineering Manager

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Injection Engineering Manager based in United States.

This role is a senior technical leadership position at the center of a pioneering industrial operation focused on large-scale carbon injection and bio-oil processing. It combines hands-on engineering ownership with site-level operational leadership in a complex, high-variability production environment. You will be responsible for guiding real-time decisions that directly impact injection performance, system reliability, and safety across a first-of-its-kind facility. The position requires deep expertise in fluid systems, strong troubleshooting discipline, and the ability to operate confidently in uncertain and rapidly evolving conditions. In addition to engineering leadership, you will help shape operational structure, workforce systems, and training programs for continuous 24/7 operations. This is a highly autonomous role reporting to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to influence both day-to-day plant performance and the long-term scaling of future sites.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead real-time engineering decision-making for injection operations, including filtration strategy, viscosity and heating control, flow management, and injection/recirculation balancing.
  • Direct structured troubleshooting during abnormal operating conditions using hypothesis-driven analysis, testing, and root-cause documentation.
  • Own the technical interface with controls, automation, PLC/HMI systems, and downhole sensors, ensuring effective execution of engineering changes.
  • Drive operational reliability and process optimization through data analysis, monitoring systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain abnormal-situation response frameworks, shift handover standards, and engineering documentation for consistent operational continuity.
  • Partner with operations leadership to manage scheduling, staffing continuity, training systems, SOP development, and workforce planning.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and development of operators, ensuring strong technical capability across shifts and readiness for 24/7 operations.
  • Contribute to the creation of scalable operating playbooks and standards to support future site replication and expansion.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in industrial operations.
    • 7+ years of experience in fluid systems operations such as injection wells, produced water systems, refining, midstream liquids, or chemical processing.
    • Proven ability to lead structured troubleshooting in complex systems involving pumps, filtration, pressure, flow, and viscosity management.
    • Strong background in real-time operational decision-making in high-risk, high-variability industrial environments.
    • Experience supervising operational teams (20–40+ personnel) across shifts in industrial or process-driven facilities.
    • Familiarity with operational systems such as scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, SOP management, and training programs.
    • Strong communication skills, particularly in documenting technical decisions and operating conditions under uncertainty.
    • Willingness to relocate or travel extensively to a remote industrial site in Louisiana (50–75% travel if not local).
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package including a base salary range of approximately $160,000–$195,000.
      • Equity ownership through stock options.
      • Fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums with multiple plan options.
      • Employer-funded Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions for eligible plans.
      • 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions.
      • Paid time off including parental and medical leave.
      • Annual professional development stipend and career growth opportunities.
      • Relocation support and site-based allowances including PPE and workwear support.
