Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop a software engineering squad, fostering technical excellence, autonomy, and accountability through continuous feedback, mentorship, and career development.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-impact product solutions, balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and engineering quality.
- Participate actively in architectural decisions, defining technical standards and ensuring system robustness, security, and maintainability.
- Facilitate agile planning, prioritization, and execution while removing blockers and ensuring alignment across Product, Design, and business stakeholders.
- Promote engineering best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Use engineering and product metrics to guide decision-making and improve delivery performance and system quality.
- Act as a bridge between engineering and business, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment across teams.
- Contribute to platform evolution, supporting initiatives related to scalability, performance, and system reliability.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and talent development to build diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
- Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Previous hands-on experience as a software engineer, with strong exposure to production systems.
- Proven experience in technical leadership roles such as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar positions.
- Strong track record of building, developing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments alongside Product, Design, and business teams.
- Solid experience in technical decision-making, architecture design, and code quality oversight.
- Strong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, security, and high availability.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical depth with people management responsibilities.
