This is a unique opportunity for a highly strategic and data-driven search marketing leader to build and scale an organic growth engine from the ground up. The role combines traditional SEO expertise with emerging Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies, helping drive visibility across search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. You will own the entire organic roadmap, from technical SEO and keyword architecture to content strategy and AI citation optimization. Working closely with content and web development teams, you will transform organic search into a measurable revenue-generating channel. Accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end SEO and AEO strategy, developing and executing a roadmap that transforms organic search into a scalable source of qualified pipeline and revenue.
- Define and manage performance targets for organic-sourced leads, pipeline contribution, and revenue influence, reporting results through clear business-focused metrics.
- Build comprehensive keyword architectures aligned to buyer intent, customer journeys, conversion potential, and market opportunities across multiple target segments.
- Develop and implement Answer Engine Optimization strategies to improve visibility and citations across AI-powered search experiences, including conversational and generative search platforms.
- Establish technical SEO requirements, including schema markup, Core Web Vitals improvements, crawlability, indexing health, internal linking structures, and site architecture enhancements.
- Conduct ongoing technical audits, prioritize optimization initiatives based on business impact, and collaborate with implementation teams to execute improvements.
- Create detailed content strategies and content briefs that align search intent, conversion goals, technical requirements, and authority-building objectives.
- Monitor search performance, competitive positioning, AI citation visibility, keyword trends, and conversion metrics to continuously refine growth strategies.
- Partner with leadership to provide quarterly roadmap updates and strategic recommendations that connect search performance directly to business outcomes.
- 5+ years of experience in SEO leadership roles within B2B SaaS, industrial technology, manufacturing technology, or similarly complex business environments.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling organic search programs that generate measurable pipeline, revenue, and business growth.
- Strong expertise in technical SEO, including schema markup, Core Web Vitals, crawl budget optimization, log file analysis, indexing management, and JavaScript rendering considerations.
- Proven ability to connect keyword strategy, content performance, and organic traffic growth directly to lead generation and sales outcomes.
- Experience developing and executing Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), or similar AI-focused search strategies.
- Advanced proficiency with SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and marketing attribution tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience collaborating with content creators, web developers, and marketing stakeholders to execute integrated search initiatives.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, predictive maintenance, IIoT, or related technical industries is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the confidence to influence stakeholders using data-driven recommendations.
