The Reciprocating Compressor (RC) Technical Sales will be responsible for delivering aggressive orders and margin targets for new units’ business, working closely with the specific regional sales team.
You will lead technical support to Sales/Regional commercial teams streamlining technical solutions for customers during the pre-bid phase, supporting the sales team with the assigned regional customers, aiding in identifying the best technical solutions to meet customer requirements as well as new possible solutions in their space. You will promote the RC business both internally and externally making sure the expectations are met. You will work with the functions to; identify and remove the roadblocks, transfer the technical needs of the customer interface, improve the customer experience by thinking out of the box.
As Reciprocating Compressors Technical Senior Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering the order target for New Units increasing volumes and help the vertical business to the annual target.
- Leading early engagement with customers during pre-bid stage, to identify customer needs, influencing the final decision of the technical solution and converting it into solid demand generation for both greenfield and brownfield applications. Acting as primary point of contact and trusted advisor to both customers and Regional Sales Teams to build relationships and ensure reciprocal success.
- Working closely with regional sales to convert the generated pipeline into orders at planned marginality.
- Leading and Supporting customer projects, providing technical leadership for scope, requirements, specifications, and successful delivery.
- Defining the technical scope of the solution and relevant execution model; coordinating cross functional support for developing budget proposals and feasibility studies.
- Securing solid, continuous, and easy exchange of information with the engineering/product management/manufacturing center of excellence and senior management to promote valuable solutions and quick decisions for the customers.
- Supporting Product Leadership from a technical standpoint in setting up commercial alliances and partnerships with customers for market development.
- Supporting Product Leadership in the definition of needed equipment portfolio, based on customer requirements and market expectations.
- Leading the technical qualification of New Products with customers and support commercialization strategy.
- Contributing to strategic planning process through Identification of potential NPD, raising product development challenges and assessing and promoting new product/solutions.
- Coordinating with the assigned Region(s) to finalize regional strategy for events and provide technical support as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reciprocating compressors
- Strong commercial aptitude
