This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for a portfolio of mission-driven SaaS solutions that support public safety organizations.
You will shape multi-year product vision, drive portfolio growth, and ensure products deliver measurable impact for customers in highly regulated, real-world environments.
The role blends strategic leadership, people management, and hands-on product oversight across the full lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration.
You will lead and scale a team of product managers and technical product owners, setting the bar for product excellence and organizational execution.
A key part of the role involves partnering with executive leadership to align product strategy with business objectives, revenue goals, and market opportunities.
You will also collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success to ensure strong execution and market adoption.
This is a high-visibility role with direct influence on both company direction and outcomes for first responders nationwide.
Accountabilities
You will be responsible for leading product strategy, portfolio execution, and team development while ensuring strong alignment between market needs, business goals, and product delivery.
- Define and own the multi-year product strategy for the Policy product portfolio, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and market needs.
- Lead competitive analysis, customer research, and market segmentation to identify new opportunities and inform strategic direction.
- Develop product positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies in partnership with product marketing and executive leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product managers and technical product owners.
- Establish standards for product management practices, including discovery, requirements definition, delivery, and measurement.
- Own portfolio roadmap prioritization, balancing short-term revenue goals with long-term strategic growth.
- Oversee product development processes, including alpha/beta programs, KPI tracking, and release validation.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and customer success to drive go-to-market execution and product adoption.
- Build business cases for new product investments and evaluate ROI for strategic initiatives and partnerships.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong SaaS background, proven ability to manage teams, and a track record of driving portfolio-level strategy in complex markets.
- 10–15 years of SaaS product management experience, including 3–5+ years in senior leadership roles managing product teams.
- Proven experience defining and executing portfolio-level product strategy in B2B or B2G environments.
- Strong background in pricing strategy, product positioning, and competitive market analysis.
- Experience building and presenting executive-level strategy to C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to define KPIs, build business cases, and translate data into strategy.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycle best practices.
- Experience leading, developing, and scaling high-performing product organizations.
- Familiarity with integrating AI capabilities into product strategy or product development.
- Experience in public safety, government, or regulated industries is a strong plus.
- MBA or relevant certifications (Agile, SAFe, PMI-ACP, Pragmatic Marketing) are a plus.
